Ping Pong Legends Mural

Instrument approached us to paint a mural on a large wall that faced their ping pong table and, being avid players ourselves, we were stoked. Collectively we came up with the idea to paint eight fictional ping pong legends that would each hold their own paddle that any player could use and put back. We started the process by screen printing the ping pong pattern onto the white wall as a base for the characters. Then we projected the final sketches onto the wall and reproduced them on top of the screen-printed pattern, painted a white base-coat for each, and then went to town. Each character was finished off with a paint pen outline and then the paddles and hooks to hold them were installed.
